What is Grah Gochar?

Gochar means the current movement of planets across the sky. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac — positions measured against the fixed stars — which is why the Lahiri ayanamsa is subtracted. This page shows every planet’s current rashi, nakshatra, pada and motion (direct/retrograde). Rahu and Ketu are always retrograde.

Note: results are a very close approximation (~0.2° for classical planets; Rahu/Ketu use the mean node). For precise astrological work, cross-check an authoritative ephemeris.
